Medical device: BALLET - 3/4 prophylactic insoles with a metatarsal pad.

Application of the insoles: Forefoot overload syndrome (transverse flat feet), metatarsalgia, toe deformities, calluses and corns on the plantar side in the area of the 2nd and 3rd metatarsal heads, hollow foot, rheumatoid foot. Effect of the insoles (metatarsal pad): They positively change the distribution of pressures on the plantar side of the feet in the area of the 2nd and 3rd metatarsal heads; cushion the contact of the metatarsal heads with the ground; prevent the dropped metatarsal heads; reduce the risk of formation of fixed convex forefoot and hammer toes; reduce pain in the area of the metatarsal heads; the foam lining in the front part of the insole gives a feeling of softness and comfort while walking. Contraindications: The insoles should not be used by persons with diabetic foot syndrome. Warnings: The insoles should not have direct contact with the skin of the foot. When using the insoles, protect your feet by means of socks, knee-highs or stockings. In the case of any doubt related to the application of the device, please consult your physician, physiotherapist or podologist. Materials used: Natural leather easily absorbing sweat excreted by the feet, textile material lining the metatarsal pad made of latex foam, layer of latex foam on the plantar part, double-sided adhesive tape. How to select the insoles to match the user’s feet: The efficiency of the insoles depends on the proper location of the metatarsal pad. The front edge of the pad should reach the place where the 2nd and 3rd metatarsal heads turn into the shafts. In view of the different anatomical structure of the feet of potential users, the size of the insoles should be selected by a properly trained employee of a shop/podology salon. Instructions for use and cleaning of the insoles: The insoles are intended for use in women’s ballerinas, pumps and heeled sandals with a heel not exceeding 4 cm. They shall be glued to the footwear by means of adhesive tape on the underside in such a way that their rear edge is in contact with the upper in the heel area.  Persons who have not used the insoles with the metatarsal pad before may feel uncomfortable at the beginning. It is necessary to get used to the product gradually (first day - 1 hour of use, second day - two hours, etc.). If the sense of uncomfortableness is not gone after two weeks, visit the shop or salon where the insoles were purchased. Remove the sweaty insoles from the shoes and let them dry at the room temperature, far from any sources of heat. To clean and take good care of the insoles, you may use e.g. Avocado Lotion by Kaps. The insoles should not be used in the case of their deformation and/or significant sweating of the external layer made of natural leather. The worn insoles should be placed into containers for mixed waste. Each serious incident related to the device should be reported to the producer and competent authority of the Member State being the place of residence of the user.
