Medical device: CARMEN - 2/3 prophylactic insoles with a metatarsal pad, support for the longitudinal arch of the foot and a recess for the heel.

Application of the insoles: Flatfoot, forefoot overload syndrome (transverse flat feet), metatarsalgia, calluses and corns on the plantar side in the area of the 2nd and 3rd metatarsal heads, hollow foot, sensitive foot, rheumatoid foot. Effect of the insoles: Cushioning the contact of the metatarsal heads with the ground; preventing the dropped metatarsal heads; favourably changing the pressure distribution on the sole; support for the drooping longitudinal arch of the foot; reducing pain in the metatarsus and hindfoot; increasing stability in the case of feet with descending arches and/or rearfoot valgus. Contraindications: The insoles should not be used by persons with diabetic foot syndrome. Warnings: The insoles should not have direct contact with the skin of the foot. When using the insoles, protect your feet by means of socks, knee-highs or stockings. In the case of any doubt related to the application of the device, please consult your physician, physiotherapist or podologist. Materials used: Natural leather easily absorbing sweat excreted by the feet, moosgummi rubber, double-sided adhesive tape. How to select the insoles to match the user’s feet: The efficiency of the insoles depends on the correct selection of insoles to the dimensions and anatomy of the feet. In order to choose the correct insole size, use the help of a trained employee of the shop/podiatry clinic. Remember that the front edge of the metatarsal pad should reach the point where the heads of the 2nd and 3rd metatarsal bones turn into shafts. Instructions for use and cleaning of the insoles: The insoles are designed for use in casual footwear as well as for use at work. The insoles should be glued to the footwear with an adhesive tape placed on the underside, in such a way that their rear edge touches the upper in the heel part. Persons who have not used the insoles with the metatarsal pad before may feel uncomfortable at the beginning. It is necessary to get used to the product gradually (first day - 1 hour of use, second day - two hours, etc.). If the sense of uncomfortableness is not gone after two weeks, visit the shop or salon where the insoles were purchased. Remove the sweaty insoles from the shoes and let them dry at the room temperature, far from any sources of heat. To clean and take good care of the insoles, you may use e.g. Avocado Lotion by Kaps. The insoles should not be used in the case of their deformation and/or significant sweating of the external layer made of natural leather. The worn insoles should be placed into containers for mixed waste. Each serious incident related to the device should be reported to the producer and competent authority of the Member State being the place of residence of the user.
